How are New Horizon's tax preparation fees determined?

Our fees are determined by the specific forms required to complete your tax return. Since every tax situation is unique, a proper consultation is necessary to determine the exact fee. Please visit our [Services Page] to view starting fees for various services.

How do I know which Tax Professional is right for me?

When working with the right tax professional, you should confidently be able to answer "Yes!" to the following questions:

  • Does your tax professional return your calls promptly?
  • Do you feel comfortable asking them questions?
  • Do you feel heard and understood?
  • Is your tax professional available year-round, not just during tax season?

A great tax professional should make you feel supported, informed, and prioritized.

It's also important to verify that your preparer has a valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). While anyone with a PTIN is authorized to prepare federal tax returns, the skills, education, and expertise of tax professionals can vary widely.

Make sure to choose someone whose qualifications match your specific tax needs.

At New Horizon Tax & Financial Services, we take pride in meeting these standards to provide our clients with the best possible experience.

Where's My Refund?

The IRS issues over 9 out of 10 refunds within 21 days. However, if your tax return requires additional review, it may result in a delay.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information about your refund, use the Where’s My Refund? tool. This tool is updated daily, so there’s no need to check more than once per day.

Before checking your refund status, make sure you have the following information:

  • Your full Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Your filing status (e.g., Single, Married Filing Jointly)
  • The exact refund amount you’re expecting
